Four S-70i Black Hawks Join Brunei Fleet
Sikorsky Aircraft has delivered the first batch of four S-70i helicopters to the Brunei Ministry of Defense, including two during the recent Bridex Exhibition and Conference in Jerudong. The international variant of the Black Hawk is configured for various roles, including search and rescue, humanitarian, disaster relief, medevac and personnel transport.
The helicopters will enter service with the Royal Brunei Air Force, which is in the process of incorporating another S-70i duo into its fleet. The handover is part of an order placed in December 2011 for a dozen S-70i Black Hawks. Sikorsky plans to deliver the rest of the helicopters by the end of 2014.
