NAVAIR Selects New R&D Chief
Timothy Gowen has succeeded retiring Navy Capt. John Slaughter as head of the Naval Aviation Center for Rotorcraft Advancement for the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command. Gowen previously served as the deputy director of the Airworthiness Office for NAVAIR and recently received Senate confirmation as Director of the Joint Staff of the Maryland National Guard. Gowen is a former U.S. Army Bell OH-58 Kiowa and Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk pilot.
