First Refurbished OH-58D Joins Army Fleet
The U.S. Army's first Bell OH-58D Kiowa Warrior has entered service with the Air Cavalry Squadron in Fort Riley, Kan. The helicopter was the first to receive a conversion from the OH-58A model to the rebuilt "D" variant under the wartime replacement aircraft (WRA) program, which seeks to replenish the Army’s Kiowa Warrior fleet lost to attrition. The Army expects more than 40 helicopters to go through the A2D conversion process.
