Australia Receives Last Eurocopter Tiger
Eurocopter has handed over the final Tiger armed reconnaissance helicopter (ARH) to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) as part of a 22-aircraft order. The Tigers were purchased under Project Air 87, a fleet replacement program involving ADF’s Bell UH1-H Iroquois and 206B-1 Kiowas. The helicopters will be stationed at the Army’s aviation training center in Queensland, the 1st Aviation Regiment in Darwin, and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Edinburgh.
