Army Awards AVMS Contract to Boeing

Boeing has received a contract from the U.S. Army covering Phase II of the Adaptive Vehicle Management System (AVMS) program. The $18-million agreement involves helicopter maneuverability and performance testing for the AH-64 Apache and CH-47 Chinook. The modified H-6 that Boeing used for Phase I testing on the AVMS will also fly for this latest round of flight tests. The flight control system is a joint development between the Aviation Army Applied Technology Directorate (AATD) and Boeing.
