JSOH Wows the Crowds

This past weekend, Andrews AFB hosted the annual Joint Service Open House where members of every service participate in aerial shows, static displays and more. This year's show included aerial performances from Red Bull, a special ops command out of Fort Bragg and Paul McCowan, a retired U.S. Marine jumper. The special ops team performed a fast rope insertion and extraction everyday. The team dropped from about 50 feet and simulated going into battle before a fast pickup in a UH-60. The 316th Wing's UH-1 flew overhead each day, taking photos of the crowd. Approximately a dozen static civilian and military, including the CV-22 Osprey and the new special ops Mi-17 were on display.
