Apache Exceeds 3.5 Million Flight Hours

The U.S. Army has announced that its AH-64 fleet has surpassed 3.5 million flight hours. Built by the Boeing Company in Mesa, Ariz., the twin-engine, multi-role attack helicopter was first handed over to the Army in 1983 and entered service the following year. Since then, it has seen a variety of major systems upgrades. The most current model is the AH-64D Block III.
