U.S. Navy MH-53E May Have Hit TV Tower Before Crash

A U.S. Navy MH-53E that crashed yesterday in Texas may have hit a TV antenna before going down. Three crewmembers died in crash of the Sikorsky Aircraft Sea Dragon from Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Sqdn. 15 (HM-15) out of NAS Corpus Christi killed.   The Associated Press reported investigators were examining wreckage that included a large piece at the base of the 971-ft tower 4 mi south of Corpus Christi. Authorities would not say whether the helicopter, an MH-53 Sea Dragon, hit the tower in the crash Wednesday night. A local radio station reported its sister TV station had been knocked off the air because of damage to the tower. For related news
