Sikorsky CH-53K Wraps Up CDR
Stratford, Conn.-based Sikorsky Aircraft has completed the critical design review (CDR) for the heavy lift CH-53K. The manufacturer and the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) met in late July to conduct the review, which involved checking system requirements and functions, and performing supplier-level CDRs, software reviews and sub-system CDRs. The helicopter now goes to assembly, test and evaluation stages. (From September 2010 Rotorcraft Report)
