Indian Air Force Replaces Mi-26s with Chinooks
Boeing has obtained a $1-billion contract from the Indian Air Force (IAF) to supply 15 CH-47D Chinooks. The Indian Air Force will use the helicopters for heavy-lift transport of equipment to the northern parts of the country. The Chinooks will replace the IAF’s existing fleet of Russian Helicopters Mi-26s.
