CH-53K Assembly/Flight Test Site Opens
Sikorsky Aircraft’s new Florida Assembly and Flight Operations (FAFO) campus for the U.S. Marine Corps CH-53K heavy lift helicopter is now operational. The company converted a 60,000-square-foot building in West Palm Beach that was the former home of Pratt & Whitney-Rocketdyne to a “modern assembly area” with new workstands, overhead cranes and other equipment in support of final rotor head assembly.
