Royal Australian Navy Grounds Sikorsky Aircraft Sea Kings

The Royal Australian Navy has grounded its fleet of Sikorsky Aircraft S-61 Sea Kings after problems during a maintenance test flight. One of the rotorcraft was forced to land due to a fault in the aircraft’s tail rotor control, according to news.com.au. It is the second time this year the helicopters have been grounded, the first time in May after a maintenance check found two split pins missing from one of the helicopters. All Sea King flying operations have been suspended temporarily while the incident is investigated, but the move is precautionary, according to the Australian navy. For related news
