Egypt Air Force Orders SAR-Configured AW139s
AgustaWestland North America has confirmed a $37.8-million foreign military sales (FMS) contract with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) for two AW139s that will serve in the Egyptian Air Force. The manufacturer will configure the two AW139s for search and rescue missions at its plant in Philadelphia, and also supply training and spare parts support for the Egyptian Air Force.
