Report: Thai Army to Seek Helicopter Upgrade
Following a series of three crashes that resulted in the deaths of 17 people and a grounding of the Royal Thai Army’s helicopter fleet, reports are emerging that the Thai Army will seek to purchase at least 30 Bell 212s to replace an aging fleet of UH-1 Hueys. According to a story in the Bankok Post, military officials will seek the purchase of 36 new Bell 212s in the upcoming 2012 fiscal year budget.
