Polycon Wireless Intercom to Serve Lakotas

Becker Avionics has provided the U.S. Army’s fleet of Eurocopter UH-72A Lakotas with its Polycon aircraft wireless intercom system (AWIS). According to Becker, the system allows for longer range communication that the current range of 1,200-1,500 feet. Polycon AWIS also contributes to situational awareness for Lakota pilots by removing the need for cords or hand signals when communicating with ground crews.
