Northrop Grumman Supporting CH-53K Nav Systems
The U.S. Navy has granted Northrop Grumman a follow-on contract for integrations and laboratory test support for the LN-251 navigation systems on Sikorsky CH-53K Super Stallions. The embedded global positioning system (GPS)/fiber-optic inertial navigation system (INS) is in its initial testing phase with the helicopters and is slated for use by the Marine Corps. Northrop Grumman will outline system requirements for the LN-251 as part of the Naval Air Systems Command contract.
