Lockheed Completes Apache DAGR Tests
Lockheed Martin has wrapped up testing of its direct attack guided rocket (DAGR) with a Boeing AH-64D Apache at the Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. The Apache tracked and hit a truck traveling 25 miles an hour with DAGR, using what's known as the lock-on-before-launch mode. The moving target engagement was one of four flight tests, including a long-range five kilometer flight and launch.
