EADS to Demo AAS-72X+ for U.S. Army
EADS North America has launched flight demonstrations of its AAS-72X+ to showcase it to U.S. Army leadership as part of a bid for the Armed Aerial Scout program. The flight demos will use two helicopters to focus on the aircraft’s high/hot performance in high-altitude locations. The AAS-72X+ is the armed variant of the UH-72A Lakota LUH, featuring mission computers and equipment integration from Lockheed Martin.
