Boeing Wins UK Chinook Contract

The UK Ministry of Defence has awarded Boeing a £1-billion ($1.64-billion) contract for 14 new CH-47 Mk-6 Chinooks for the Royal Air Force (RAF). The new-build Chinooks are part of the MoD’s plans to expand the RAF fleet to more than 50 Chinooks. Delivery is expected to begin in 2013 and run until 2015.
