Boeing Sends CH-47F Proposal to Army
Chicago-based Boeing has presented a second multiyear contract proposal to the U.S. Army for production and delivery of 155 CH-47F Chinooks. The H-47 program is currently halfway through its original multiyear contract for 191 helicopters that was awarded in August 2008. The new five-year, firm fixed-price proposal is designed to bring the Army closer to the Department of Defense set quota of 464 Chinooks.
