South Korea Buys Three Dozen AH-64Es for $904 Million
Boeing has obtained a fleet order from the Republic of Korea for 36 AH-64E Block III helicopters as part of a $904-million contract from the U.S. Army. The agreement falls under the foreign military sales (FMS) program. The order includes logistical support, spares and an Apache Longbow crew trainer. Boeing’s facility in Mesa, Ariz. will lead the production efforts. The U.S. Department of Defense yielded three different bids for the contract on a competitive acquisition basis.
