Vector Aerospace has appointed Tim Rice as managing director of Vector Aerospace, U.K. Rice joins Vector from Messier-Dowty, part of the Safran Group, where he was managing director Messier Services and group vice president, Airbus and European Programmes Business Unit.
A year after he flew out of Texas Motorplex in an Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter from Ennis, Texas suffering from a compound fracture of the left ankle, broken bones in his hands, fingers and toes and ligament and tendon damage in his right knee, John Force made the return flight. A passenger in the same helicopter manned by the same crew that flew him to Baylor University Medical Center last year when his Ford Mustang broke apart at 300 mi per hr.
West Star Aviation, Inc named Dave Krogman general manager of its Grand Junction, Colo. facility. Krogman will replace Rick Brainard, who vacated the position to become West Star Aviation’s new vice president of sales. Krogman will oversee all day-to-day operational activities at the full-service aircraft maintenance facility and FBO.
The International Bureau of Aviation (IBA) announced the appointment of Ben Lamzed as director of Asset Management and Technical Group. Lamzed joins IBA after 10 years with Close Aviation Finance where he was responsible for asset management of their portfolio of aircraft. Paul Freeman also joined IBA as data controller.
Archangel Systems, Inc appointed Bill Dillard its director of emerging technologies. Dillard will be responsible for expanding Archangel’s position in navigation and orientation markets and developing counter munitions for IED defeat and short-range air defense.
David Oglesbee is the VP of customer relations for Schweizer. Oglesbee is responsible for interfacing with customers including sales and marketing, and commercial and military programs.
