Christian Cornille has been appointed as the executive vice president of industry for Airbus Helicopters. He has been moved within the Airbus Group from his previous position as CEO of subsidiary Aerolina. His role is to further develop the industrial model of the helicopter manufacturer within the division’s transformation plan. He will also be a member of the executive committee reporting to CEO Guillaume Faury. Other changes include Cedric Gautier, who succeeds Cornille as CEO of Aerolia, and Rafael Tentor, who will manage the A400M program at Airbus Defence and Space.

Bob Sanchez
Universal Avionics has appointed Bob Sanchez to the newly created position of program development manager, military and government. He will look for both domestic and international business. Sanchez arrives from BAE Systems, where he was responsible for business development. Prior to that he had a 15-year career with the U.S. Air Force as an avionics flight test specialist followed by consulting work.

Roger Wassmuth
Unical Aviation has also created a new military division, naming Roger Wassmuth vice president of the division. Wassmuth is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy that will drive sales and fuel aggressive growth. In addition to leading the organization, key areas of focus will include establishing partnerships, license and distribution agreements, and sustainment and repair programs. Under Wassmuth’s leadership, Unical Aviation has already signed multiple license agreements with United Technologies Aerospace Systems, most recently for key F-16 systems and components.

Rick Golob
Canada-based Dart Aerospace has appointed Rick Golob as director of aftermarket support and services. He will be responsible for aligning and managing all of Dart’s repair and overhaul network, and will also work on improving Dart’s capabilities to overhaul flotation and liferaft equipment in key markets including North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region. Golob brings more than 35 years of aviation experience to the company, as well as a background in OEM manufacturing, avionics, business development, sales, program management, and MRO.
