IMT Briefcase Receiver Used for Security, Video Monitoring
Integrated Microwave Technologies has introduced its Briefcase Receiver (BCRx). The new product was first displayed in May at the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) 2014 North American Symposium and Exposition in Orlando, Fla. BCRx is a COFDM (DVB-T-compliant) diversity receiver/monitor integrated into a ruggedized, portable briefcase that offers exceptional RF performance and durability, combined with H.264 high-profile and MPEG-2 decoding. It also contains an AES decryption circuit and a built-in MPEG-4/MPEG-2 decoder, and can receive HD or SD video transmissions and display them on a built-in LCD monitor.
Lockheed Martin Kestrel Autopilot Gains ITAR Greenlight
The Kestrel autopilot from Lockheed Martin has achieved its commodity jurisdiction, allowing for deployments to international markets. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) no longer restrict the Kestrel autopilot, and a version of the vertical takeoff and lift Indago system. Both are now controlled under the Export Administration Regulations. The Kestrel 3.0 autopilot features Lockheed Martin’s “Fly Light” avionics technologies. The system incorporates data from a suite of sensors and GPS to create an accurate estimate of the vehicle’s location and orientation. Low latency, high rate data is sent to the motors to stabilize and position the vehicle and payload.
