Absolute Fire Sells Rights to Fast Bucket
Calgary, Canada-based Absolute Fire Solutions (Booth 609) has reached an agreement to sell its Fast Bucket line of products to an unnamed buyer. The transaction, which is scheduled to close March 1, includes Fast Fill, Fast Foam and Fast Cockpit Controller accessories. Uniflight Installs AS350 VIP Interior
Grand Prairie, Texas-based Uniflight (Booth 4805) has agreed to complete a Eurocopter AS350B2 for Saul Maia, a partner with Liam Kenneth of Miami, Fla. Maia selected a VIP interior for the new helicopter after researching various completion houses. American Eurocopter sent the aircraft directly to Uniflight’s completions facility, which also provides installations for helicopters used in EMS, law enforcement and utility operations. Report: Pre-Owned Helicopter Market Down
According to a report from JETNET (Booth 9763), sales for the pre-owned turbine and piston helicopter market segments experienced a decline in 2011 when compared against 2010. Turbine sales were down 11.9 percent, while the piston market experienced a sharper decrease, at 17.7 percent. Read More

Austria-based Helios Hubschrauber is introducing its SilentEcoWing rotor blade system at Heli-Expo. Marking the culmination of a project that got its start in 1998 and traces back to 1995, the SilentEcoWing underwent wind tunnel tests in 2009 at the Technical University of Munich, which showed that the blade tips lowered noise and increased efficiency over the typical blade.
