Skywork K-MAX Speeds Power Line Work

A Skywork Helicopters Kaman K-MAX made quick work constructing a 120-foot power line in Australia—completing the task in less than a day. The helicopter was brought in after rain and flooding prevented the use of a heavy crane in the area. Using the K-MAX, Skywork flew 581 miles (935 km) from its facility in Wollongong to Karara to install the 132 kV power line.
