Russian Mi-8MTV-1 Pair Goes to Sakhalin Oblast
Russian Helicopters is expanding flight coverage to the regional government of Sakhalin Oblast with the delivery of two medium multirole Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters scheduled for the first quarter of 2015. The helicopters will operate regional cargo transport missions to remote areas such as the Kuril Islands and northern Sakhalin. Alexander Mikheev, CEO of Russian Helicopters, says the Russian government has made the far east region development a "clear priority," adding that his company is looking to be a major contributor to that growth.
