Columbia Adds Swedish Military Vertols to Fleet

Columbia Helicopters acquired 10 helicopters from the Swedish Department of Defense, comprising six Boeing Vertol 107-IIs and four Kawasaki Vertol 107-IIs.

The first three helicopters have been disassembled and shipped, with the remaining three scheduled to arrive in the U.S. later this year. Columbia uses the Vertol 107-II to support military, logging, firefighting and other civilian missions worldwide, and intends to apply for an FAA type certificate for the newly acquired helicopters.
