Turbomeca to Support Papillon Fleet
Las Vegas and Grand Canyon tour operator Papillon Airways has inked a support-by-the-hour (SBH) contract with Turbomeca. The Safran Group subsidiary will provide engine services for six Arriel 2Ds that will power the Eurocopter EC130T2, with the possibility of the agreement expanding to the entire Papillon fleet. Papillon has a total of 30 Arriel engines currently in service, and placed an order for 20 EC130T2s during Heli-Expo in February.
