Indian Helicopters Ready to Offer On-the-Spot Services

Indian helicopter operators are ready to start services on par with regular fixed-wing airlines, according to DailyIndia.com. Helicopters would facilitate quick transportation especially in the corporate sector, which cannot always depend on a scheduled air carrier. R.K. Tygai, chairman and managing director of state-run Pawan Hans Helicopters said a facility would be created and used by all helicopter operators, enabling passengers to freely travel without restricted regulation. It would also be a boost to tourism and helpful for rescue and relief operations. Currently, state-run Pawan Hans Helicopters and some private airline companies operate limited services in high-terrain areas. For related news
