Slave Lake Helicopters Acquires New Choppers
Slave Lake Helicopters based out of the Province of Alberta, Canada has taken receipt of an AS350B2 and ordered an EC120B Ecureuil from Eurocopter Canada. This is the third Eurocopter Great Lake has received in the past 12 months, the others being a Colibri EC120B and another AS350B2. Another EC120B will be delivered in April 2009. Slave Lake Helicopters missions include tree planting as well as firefighting and oil exploration. The AS350B2 is a 5-6 passenger aircraft while the Colibri EC120B has space for four passengers. It is equipped with a single Turbomeca ARRIUS 2F turbine engine. Slave Lake Helicopters recently moved from a leased 3,600 square foot facility to an owned 7,000 square foot facility on the south side of Slave Lake Airport, in Slave Lake, Alberta.
