Eurocopter Says Poland Picks Its EC135

Eurocopter reports the Polish health ministry has signed a contract for 23 of the helicopters for its nationwide emergency medical services (EMS) network. The contract calls for delivery of the aircraft next year and in 2010. They are to replace a fleet of Mi-2s and enable Poland’s air rescue system to become fully compliant with European JAR OPS 3 standards. Other manufacturers were vying for the order, including a partnership of AgustaWestland and PZL Swidnik. For related news
