Georgia Trying to Change the Rules

Forsyth County, Ga., located just outside the metropolitan Atlanta area, is tying to change the county’s Unified Development Code for heliports and helipads according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The proposed changes would permit the county to locate heliports and helipads in commercial and agricultural districts. The County Commission is also looking at requiring larger setbacks for heliports or helipads abutting property that is zoned for residential or agricultural use. For related news
