February 9, 2010 EC145 Joins Life Flight Fleet
Williamsport, Pa.-based Geisinger Life Flight has incorporated a Eurocopter EC145 into its fleet of three EMS helicopters. The newest EC145 will be based at Williamsport Regional Airport (IPT), providing medical flights for patients in the region. An equipment package includes collision and terrain avoidance systems, weather radar, dual autopilot, GPS, and increased range to 370 miles. Night vision goggle (NVG) certification is expected later this year.

McTurbine Approved For RR250 MRO
Corpus Christi, Texas-based McTurbine has won FAA approval to conduct maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) on Rolls-Royce Model 250 engines. The designation applies to Series II and Series IV engines. McTurbine is an affiliate of Bell Helicopter.
