Roy E. Robertson Bio

Roy RobertsonPrincipal Systems Engineer, Rockwell Collins

Roy is a principal systems engineer in the Rockwell Collins Commercial Systems – Advanced Radar Applications group. Roy has been involved in development of many avionics products since joining the original Collins Radio Company in 1973 and has served in management and system engineering roles for weather radar products since 1982. Roy was a principal contributor during development of the WXR-2100 MultiScan Hazard Detection Radar System and has been heavily involved with airline customers whose operational experience and recommendations have been instrumental in the MultiScan product’s evolution. Roy recently organized and coordinated a Global Validation Flight program with a leased aircraft to test and validate MultiScan performance in a worldwide environment. 

Roy was selected as a Rockwell Collins Corporate Engineer of the Year in 2003 and was selected for the Airline Avionics Institute Volare Award presented at the AEEC General Session in Seattle in October 2005. Roy has a BSEE from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
