Spain Places Orders for NH90s

Spain has placed formal orders for 45 NH90 troop transport helicopters. That nation selected the NH90 in May 2005 to replace the Bell UH-1s, Sikorsky H-60s, and Eurocopter AS332s and AS532s currently used by its army, navy and air force. The NH90 can carry 16-20 soldiers and be used in search and rescue. It is estimated that, along with additional purchases by the Spanish government, the value of the decision could be as high as 2 billion euros. More
