SICMA pax seat |
A release of smoke was experienced in the passenger compartment during flight after an overheating of a reading lights power box of a PN 5039201-4T SICMA seat. An analysis found the overheating was caused by a short-circuit produced by the rupture of a non-compliant electrical power supply component. The short circuiting could result in arcing and consequent smoke or fire. NPRM comments by 29 May |

Results from a report of seven flight spoiler actuator jams on Model 737-800? to detect and correct any spoiler panel that is found in the up position with the speedbrake handle in the down position, which could result in a spoiler actuator hardover and cause the spoiler surface to jam in the fully extended position, causing loss of control of the airplane. 777-200/300 & ER |
To detect and correct corrosion or cracking of the torque tube and closeout rib fittings that support the inboard end of the inboard trailing edge flap. Cracking in these components could lead to a fracture, which could result in loss of the inboard trailing edge flap. Final rule eff 04 Jun |

ERJ 170 & 190 |
Results from a report indicating that the aft cargo door opened in flight just after departure, and from a report indicating that an airplane was dispatched with an unsecured forward cargo door?. to prevent a cargo door from opening during flight, which could lead to structural failure or loss of control.
