NBAA Reports the Passing of John H. Winant

In a press release issued yesterday, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announced that former association president, John H. Winant, died on Jan. 13 at his home in Williamstown, Mass. He was 85 years old. NBAA membership jumped from 824 member-companies to 3,000 during his tenure as president, which lasted from 1971 to 1986. “It would be difficult to overstate the importance of John Winant in the development of business aviation in the United States,” said NBAA president Ed Bolen. “His integrity, knowledge, dedication and gentle nature made him an extraordinarily effective advocate for our community.” For related news
