Eclipse Auction This Week

Wednesday will tell if Eclipse Chair Roel Pieper will win ownership of Eclipse at an auction as planned as part of Eclipse’s bankruptcy reorganization or whether a rumored dark horse will trump him. His company, Luxembourg-based ETIRC Aviation S.a.r.l., is acquiring the company for a combination of cash, equity and debt. ETIRC Aviation, a principal driver of the VLJ industry in Europe, is currently Eclipse's largest shareholder. ETIRC Aviation's Chair Roel Pieper has been the acting CEO of Eclipse since July 2008 and has served as Eclipse's chair since January 2008. Related Story
The auction has attracted the attention of the newly formed Eclipse Owners Association as well as others who have until tomorrow January 13 to file their bids. Related Story
