Black Hawk Celebrates

During an official ceremony, Sikorsky delivered the 100 new production UH-60M Black Hawk to the U.S. Army. The helicopters have a new airframe, propulsion system and avionics and an entire battalion has already been deployed to Afghanistan. The UH-60M provides 500 pounds more lift than the current UH-60L blade and the new GE engine adds more horsepower. According to reports, the Army's fleet will soon exceed more than one million hours of combat duty in the Iraq and Afghanistan war theaters since 2003. For related news
