Air Charter Safety Symposium to Highlight First Audited Operator
Executive Fliteways, the first company to undergo the Air Charter Safety Foundation Industry Audit, will be addressing attendees at the 2008 ACSF Air Charter Safety Symposium – Developing a Healthy Safety Culture. The 2008 ACSF Air Charter Safety Symposium will take place next week -- February 19-20 at the NTSB Training Center in Ashburn, VA, just west of Washington, DC.
Executive Fliteways, a long-standing Part 135 certificate holder based at Long Island MacArthur Airport in Islip, New York, is undergoing the audit this week. This exercise was the first test of the new audit standard, which has been developed by industry safety professionals from NetJets, Executive Jet Management, Sentient, Flight Options, and other Part 135 and 91(K) operators and air charter clients.
The Air Charter Safety Symposium will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn more about the single audit standard, including what NetJets, Flight Options, and other purchasers of charter think of the audit; what Executive Fliteways learned about their operation as a result of the audit; and which auditing companies will seek training and approval to conduct the audits.
