24 Oct. Simon Bolivar A/P Citation X of Air Luxor CS-DCT Private charter jet impounded after capt blew whistle on his strange freight load. Nil 3 crew & 3 pax arrested by Caracas, Venezuelan police (400kgs cocaine).

05 Nov. 0105Z JFK A/P New York A300-600 of AA Flt: AAL952 A/c hit severe turbulence on descent injuring 5 flight attendants (1 seriously). 5 inj Miami to JFK. Aircraft damage unknown (hit turb at FL 220).
07 Nov. 0355Z Atlanta, Georgia 767 of Delta Flt: DAL166 A/c had a tail-strike upon landing with unknown damage. Nil Dallas Ft Worth to Atlanta, Ga.
07 Nov. 2215Z Grand Turk BVI 757 of American Trans Air AMT533 5 flt attendants injured when a/c struck mod turbulence north of Grand Turk. 5 inj / 207 pax +8 crew British Virgin Islands (flight was San Juan Puerto Rico for Orlando, Fla.)
08 Nov. 1012Z Honolulu, Hawaii Beech 1900C of Alpine Air Right main gear collapsed on t/down then left main gear also (arr from Lihue). Nil Reg: N197GA. See N153GA accident below - and draw your conclusions.

12 Nov. Manchester UK 747 of PIA Flt: PK709 Intercepted and escorted by UK fighters after failing to contact ATC over North Sea. Nil / 81 pax Lahore-Manchester flt subject to NATS, UK CAA and PIA inquiry.
13 Nov. 2205L Milwaukee, Wisc. SAAB340B of ATA Connect WDY3491 America West ramp worker seriously injured by propeller while chocking a/c. 1 inj N305CE. 53yo worker allegedly has a glass eye (depth perception problems).
14 Nov. Timisoara, Romania 737-800 of Turkish MNG Hamburg-Antalya flight diverted into Timisoara with a smoke emergency. Nil / 152 pax Alarm went off at 2348hrs over central Hungary.
15 Nov. 2130L Boston Logan A/P 777 of BA Flt: BA239 5 firemen injured fighting an avionics compartment fire after landing. Nil / 219pax +14 crew Pinhole leak in nosegear hydraulics sprayed onto a ground power receptacle.
15 Nov. 1047Z Hilo, Hawaii Beech 1900C of Alpine Air AIP300 returned to airport after the airstair door opened shortly after t/off. Nil Reg: N153GA
15 Nov. 1952Z Teterboro, NJ Learjet 60 of Peters Corp N180CP right main gear collapsed while taxiing out for departure. Nil Later towed in to the ramp.
17 Nov. 1100L Heathrow UK A319 of BA Reg: BA1442 London to Edinburgh flight turned back with smoke in the cockpit mins after t/off. Nil / 144 pax No further details.
17 Nov. Rosario, Argentina Learjet of Argent Air Force VIP Sqdn. Argent Pres Kirchner's continued run of a/c luck (Lear "Tango 10" gear problem). Nil His 5th incident (2nd in a month) led to him using a borrowed VIP jet.
17 Nov early evening Malpensa Italy MD80 of Alitalia Flt: AZ1456 Venice-Malpensa flight orbited to manually extend gear and use up fuel. Nil / 57 pax Gear extension failure. Extended gear doors scraped runway during landing.
17 Nov. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania LET410 of Precision Air Reg: 5H-PAC A/c crashed during a training flight. 2 inj Captain has serious injuries, F/O has minor injuries.
18 Nov 1320L Caracas Venezuela Jetstream 31 of RAVSA Crashed into Simon Bolivar A/P firefighter's bldg in a heavy rain shower. 2 fatal & 19 inj YV1083C arriving from ElVigia (SW Merida State). A/P closed until 1500L
18 Nov. morning Eindhoven, Netherlands 737 of FlyAir A/c evacuated after landing due to an engine fire warning. Nil No further details.
19 Nov. Baghdad A/P Iraq C130 of USAF A/P now closed to all traffic since a C130 escaped MANPADS via its defense system. Nil Closed to civil traffic since previous Sunday (now closed to military a/c as well).
