03 Jul 1600L Sitka Alaska Cessna 421 Reg: N777DX Collided with terrain inside the final fix, 3mls from missed appch point during GPS inst appch r/way 11. 5 fatal / 5 on board Prince Rupert BC to Anchorage. Pilot reptd fwd baggage door had opened. Crash-site located midday next day.
23 Jul 0840 Sorocaba Brazil C551 Citation II of Petroforte Bras PT-LME crashed into a street in the Vila Helena Quarter on approach. 1 fatal / 3 on board A/c ex Lins collided with 4 houses, 3 vehicles and came to rest in a field.
26 Jul 1949Z Fredericton Canada PA31-350 of Prince Edward Air CME118 (Bangor to St John) lost an engine in IFR conditions and diverted Fredericton New Brunswick. Nil #1 shutdown due to heavy vibration, noise and oil seeping from cowling.
27 Jul 1940Z Sudbury Ontario 737-2H4 of WestJet C-FKWJ ARFF was called to ramp due to a fire indication in the starboard eng. Nil Pax deplaned after second bottle fired. Detection loop connectors contaminated.
28 Jul 2057Z Winnipeg Manitoba SA226TC of Perimeter Airlines PAG609 advised returning to land runway 13 due rough running stbd engine on departure. Fault repeated on other flights and numerous test flights. Nil C-FSLZ right engine observed at 103% and with sync engaged started fluctuating 95% to 103%. Binding eccentric shaft replaced. (FCU, pitch control, governor interconnect).
29 Jul Pannawonica WA B55 Baron of AusWest Crashed off the end of the runway on take-off after an engine failed. 4 uninj Australian Mining Charter flight
30 Jul Egg Harbor NJ ATR-42-300 of the FAA Test Center 23 FAA dummies survived a crash test with an instrumented FAA a/c being free-dropped from 32ft to simulate a 30fps survivable crash. Nil Dummies all declined a post-crash interview. Test weight was 35,000lbs and was for pax-seat design. See image web-page for crash result.
30 Jul Vilnius A/P 757 of Britannia Flt: BY821A Aborted at speed after an airspeed indicator failure due pitot blockage. Nil No further details (bound Heathrow with Celtic United Football Team).
30 Jul Kashmir AN-12 of Indian Air Force Preserved remains found at site of 35 y.o. prev unlocated Himalayan crash 1 found Found at base of 16,000ft Dhakka Glacier in Himachal Pradesh State.
30 Jul 2010Z Halifax NS DHC8-102 of JAZZ Air Reg: C-FHRC JZA8818 enroute to Sydney reported electrical problems 40miles east of Halifax and returned. Nil No further details.

01 Aug 0900BST Belfast NI BAe146-200 of BA's CitiExpress G-MANS evac'd on taxiway on pushback due blue smoke in cabin. 4 pax inj / 54 o/b One pax hospitalized.
01 Aug Sydney-Lismore SAAB340 of Regional Xpress 30y.o. male pax arrested with knife & extensible baton after disturbance. Nil Incident characterized as non-cooperation (versus hostility).
01 Aug 1406L St Petersburg Fla. C421 Reg: N2989Q On landing r/way 34 the right MLG collapsed and a/c departed runway. Nil Minor damage.
02 Aug 1645L Atlanta Ga. 767 of Delta Flt: DAL827 A/c parked when baggage cart struck drain mast near C2 door. Nil Minor damage to Atlanta-Jacksonville flight (during pax boarding).
03 Aug NY-Frankfurt 747-245F of El Al Reg: 4X-AXL Two panels deptd the a/c over the Amsterdam neighbourhood of Langeaar (on appch Schipol). Nil Diverted/landed Schipol 1600L with a burst MLG tire & missing an 80cm x 80cm wing panel & L-shaped section.
04 Aug 1631Z Miami Fla. 757 of US Airways USA1191 hit jetway while taxiing to Gate H10. Nil / 174 pax Substantial a/c damage.
04&05 Aug Heathrow UK Concorde of BA BA001 2 consec nights of aborted t/offs for BA001 (NY-JFK bound) Nil Instrument problem 2230L on 04 Aug and unknown 05 Aug (deptd at 2145L)
05 Aug 0003L Richmond Va. 737-700 of Southwest SW2128 hit severe turbulence at FL250 enroute Tampa-Baltimore. 2 F/A inj Two F/A hospitalized Baltimore.
05 Aug 2359 Cardiff Wales A320 of My Travel 3 tires burst on landing at Cardiff & pax disembarked on runway. Nil/ 162 on board Attrib to skid due to a reverser failure (but more likely an anti-skid failure).
05 Aug Darwin NT to Cairns QLD 737-400 of QANTAS RH eng shut down after birdstrike after t/off (landed back 15 mins later) Nil/ 146 on board QF801 engine compressor & nose-cowl damaged.
05 Aug 0650L Groton Conn. Lear 35 of JetPro LLC N135PT clipped apartment building, 3 houses and plunged into river. 2 fatal / 2 on board A/C on 2nd missed approach with tower unmanned (see image web-file).
05 Aug KingAir200 Gear collapsed on ldg Biggin Hill UK. Nil Lengthy delay until runway cleared.
06 Aug 1600L Frankfurt-Houston A340-300 of Lufthansa DLM440 struck severe turbulence enroute at cruising altitude. 35 inj / 258 o/b 10 hospitalized after landing 1715. A/C suffered some structural damage.
06 Aug 2040L Duluth Minn. Westwind WW24 Reg: N351C Departure end incident r/way 27 (hit threshold bar and broke a light). Nil actual events are unclear in FAA report (dep Duluth for Latrobe Pa.).
07 Aug JFK A/P Concorde of BA BA-001 G-BOAC BA001 shut down #3 enroute and on ldg it was thought that eng3/eng4 firewall had burnt through. Nil Pneumatic duct clamp failure (fire-warning was actually hot air leak). A/c type goes out of service in October.
