22 April 1100Z Timmins, Ontario Beech 300 of Grant Exec Jets Slight glide-path power reduction on ILS caused sudden stall without warning & 500ft loss during recovery. Nil Max power recovery action after speed reduced quickly from 125 to 96kts. (1.5" of ice build-up noted after ldg).
02 May 1340L Nanwalek, Alaska C206 of Smokey Bay Air N35860 Terrain collision & crash on beach on t/off r/way 01 Nanwalek English Bay. 1inj / 6 o/b Air taxi (on demand) operation. substantial damage during STOL t/off.
03 May Lehigh Valley, NJ DO-328 of US Airways Express Emergency landing after pax door was found to be unlocked. Nil US2447 was Philadelphia bound.
04 April Norwich, UK Fokker 100 of KLM UK Emerg landing after pax door became unlocked during post-maint air-test. Nil / 7 o/b No further details.
05 May Reus A/P, Spain A320 of MyTravel Engine change after ingesting a bird on take-off roll and aborting. Nil Arr from East Midlands. Antonov to the rescue again (with a spare engine).
05 May 1255L El Cedro A/P, Colombia Fairchild Metro II Flt: HK4275 AeroTransportes Oil a/c crashed in Province of Uraba one hour after t/off. 3 fatal 4 inj Bogota-El Cedro Colombia (Cedars A/P). Dead included Captain & F/A.
06 May Southern Sudan LET-410 of Air Cush aid charter Aircraft stalled & crashed on take-off from Jiech (Western Upper Nile). 6 fatal 4 inj / 10 Cargo moved aft. Dead included mainly children. Captain survived.

07 May Newcastle, UK A320 of MYT "All aboard for Menorca- oops." Female F/A seen to depart across ramp with her bag after forgetfully blowing door-slide (on being asked to open it). Nil Rear cabin door had been armed due pax boarding starting during fuelling and no rear-door steps being available.
07 May Hemet, Calif. OV-10 Bronco Reg: N429DF Forestry Service a/c lost all engine power and landed in a wheat field. Nil Post-maintenance test flight (minor damage). Fuel problem?
07 May Vancouver Intl. Canada 737-200 of WestJet Flt: WJA143 737 told to continue its take-off after ATC managed to stop a C550 Citation that had taxied well past its hold point. Nil "Hold short of 08R" had been previously acknowledged by C550 pilot (G-NWM).
08 May 0530L Gains Creek, Alaska DC-4 of Brooks Fuel Inc. #1 eng exploded on start and N44911's left wing and engines were blown off. Nil / 2 o/b Substantial damage.
09 May 1900L Shanghai-Pudong MD-82 of China Southern Abandoned take-off caused a wheel fire (took some time to extinguish). Nil Partly locked brakes caused the abort and fire - minor damage.
09 May 1450L San Juan A/P Puerto Rico ATR-72 of American Eagle Flt: 5401 N438AT Departed runway 8 for woodlands after heavy landing & action subsided with the left wing-tip on the ground. 13 inj / 19 pax & 4 crew o/b L wing heavily damaged (Left MLG torn off). Possible porpoising after heavy landing (arrived from Mayaguez).
09 May Catania A/P Sicily MD-80 of WindJet Confusion reigned when rear crew briefed pax for ditching after t/off , pax donned life-vests, then a/c re-landed Catania with a minor glitch. Nil / 140 pax Wet-lease from JetX (Iceland). Front/rear language problem. ENAC (Italian FAA) has summoned WindJet President for "coffee & talks."
10 May 0106Z Little Rock, Ark. 737-700 of SWA Flt: SWA2038 F/A seriously injured when thrown against a bulkhead in turbulence. 1 inj Houston, Texas - St. Louis, Mo., flight.
10 May 1820L JFK New York 737 of Suisse Flt: Privatair 59 Reg HB110 struck bldg with L wingtip while taxiing to overnight parking. Nil No damage to Hangar 213.
11 May Fairbanks, Alaska 747-400 of Cargolux Returned following fuel dump after a compressor stall on take-off. Nil / 2 o/b No further details.
11 May 0700L Madrid, Spain A320 of Iberia Flt: Iberia 432 Re-landed after both engines' cowlings blew off just after take-off (& hit tail). 12 May Rome (Fiumicino) MD-80 of Alitalia Trieste bound flight evacuated after re-landing (using the slides). Unknown No further details (unrelated to strike action).
12 May 0004L Singapore 747-400 of Singapore Airlines Pax opened SQ345 door at Terminal 2 (bound Zurich) & jumped to tarmac. Nil Police detained a 22 y.o. Swiss man. All luggage re-checked (delay of 2 hours).
12 May 2030L Glasgow, Scotland BAe146 of Flybe Flt: BE140 Capt ejected 37 Tesco staff for rowdy behavior & flew 17 pax to Belfast Intl. Nil 37 pax had to buy another ticket. Flt deptd after 3 hour delay.
13 May 0951L Aberdeen, Scotland Sikorsky S-61 of Bristow Pilot shut down eng 15 minutes from Dyce (inbound from Captain Oil-field rig). Nil / 17 o/b Similar incident(fire) with Super Puma of CHC Scotia with 18 o/b (landed Sumburgh A/P Shetland Islands).
