19 Dec. 03 Dumfries, Scotland C130 of RAF UK Defense Ministry revealed that a 2.3nm no-fly zone around a highly vulnerable & sensitive nuclear plant had been infringed by the C130 a/c. Nil Overflight at 100ft AGL. Chapel Cross nuclear plant is an old 1950's design with nil secondary containment and weapons payload production facilities.
09 April 1110Z 737-201 of CanJet C-FVCJ Flt CJA125 shut down with NLG failure r/way 15 - taxiing for departure. Nil NLG wheel rim failed on inboard side and half bead seat area had detached.
15 April 0340L Seville, Spain 737-4YO of Air Europa Bird-Strikes on take-off led to an uncontained engine failure for EC-IRA. Nil Seville - Barcelona flight.
18 April 1531 EDT Dominican Republic Learjet55 of Bombardier Capital N355UJ was substantially damaged after a hard landing/aborted take-off from La Romana A/P. Nil / 6 o/b La Romana for Wilmington North Carolina. (a/c serial number 33).
22 April daytime Winnipeg, Canada Cessna 421C of Skyward Aviation PAG111 advised C-FGMO (flight SGK111) that right main gear was leaking. Nil / 3 o/b Follow-up advice was to evacuate as right gear was well ablaze (minor damage).
28 April am hrs Johannesburg, SA Gulftream2 of DRC President N58JF crew accepted an under-inflated MLG tire & it blew on t/off. Nil Damaged flaps, engine cowlings & prestige for the Congolese president.
28 April daytime Winnipeg, Canada MD-80 of JetsGo Flt: JGO149 Diverted 200nm to Winnipeg after pilot secured the right engine (oil filter blocked light). Nil / 156 o/b Toronto-Edmonton Flight landed Winnipeg 1640Z.
29 April1845L Gaziantep A/P Turkey 737-8F2 of Turkish Airlines Flt ex Istanbul overran by 60m on landing in heavy rain. Nil TC-JGD's nose LG and nose area received structural damage.
30 April 1905L Maysville, Ky. MV22 Osprey of USMC Tilt rotor made an emergency precautionary landing at small airfield. Nil Operating on trials out of New River Air Station, N.C.
30 April Manchester, UK Dash 8 of BA Landing a/c reported an engine problem, pulled off 06R & evacuated. Nil No further details.
April Wellington, NZ 737 of QANTAS Melbourne passenger found a 4cm whistling tree frog on her inflight salad. 1 frog fatal? Terrorist frog killed by Kiwi quarantine SWAT team on arrival.
01 May pm hrs Dutch Border area 737 of unident 2 F16's from Leeuwarden Airbase intercepted a bogey at Eurocontrol request and escorted it to their border. Nil 737 southbound at FL250. Dutch Defense Ministry would not identify the company concerned.
02 May 1600CDT Juarez, Mexico Turbo Commander 840 Regn: XC-JEH After 2 hrs, Chihuahua Mountains drug trafficking surveillance flight crashed on flight Juarez - Mexico City. 7 fatal / 7 o/b Pax were five federal anti-narcotics agents. Loss of control in adverse weather conditions suspected.
02 May 2021Z Philadelphia, Pa. CRJ-200 of Mesa Flt: Mesa2657 Flt 2657 was struck and damaged by a fuel truck while parked gate 5. Nil Flight cancelled.
02 May 2142Z Montreal Quebec A310-200 of Air Transat TSC766 returned to Montreal after 20 minutes with hydraulic failure. Nil No further details.
03 May Munich, Germany 737-300 of KLM A/c forced to make sudden right turn at 200km/hr immediately after landing-due to runway incursion. Nil / 127 pax / 5 crew Missed Air Dolomiti ATR500 turboprop by a very few meters.
03 May 0830Z Cincinnati, Ohio Cessna 525 Reg: N377GS Substantial damage when a/c veered left after landing and struck lights. Nil A/c landing in fog lost directional sense - Lunken A/P Cincinnati, Ohio.
04 May 1300L Townsville Qld. C130 of RAAF Turned back and landed after 25 mins with heavy smoke and fumes in a/c. Nil / 16 o/b Headed for Weipa (Queensland) on western Cape Yorke Peninsula.
04 May 0245Z Manchester, N.H. MD80 of Delta Flt: DAL386 Rear antenna struck by belt loader and torn off during unloading ops. Nil Ramp-rashed by tug thug.
04 May Los Angeles Intl. Airport, Calif. A340-500 of Singapore Airlines Flt met by LAPD and SWAT after a/c arrived squawking the hijack code. Nil / 144 o/b F16 escort after an 18hr inaugural flt was not an honor guard. Miscoded.
05 May 1414L Narita A/P, Japan 747 of UA Flt: 838 Landed at its destination with a cargo-hold fire indication (illum at 1350L). Nil False alarm due to vapors from okra cargo (24 mins to achieve a landing).
05 May 2045L Bahrein, UAE A340 of Gulf Air A/c returned 45 minutes after take-off with hydraulic failure (leak). Nil Bahrein-Singapore-Sydney flight ultimately departed at 2155L.
05 May 1626L Van Nuys, Calif. B-17 (WW2 bomber) N5017N Longest (main) runway 16R blocked when a/c's gear collapsed on landing Nil Experimental Aircraft Assn. a/c on its national tour (removed by 8pm).
06 May JFK NY A300-605 of AA LH main-wheel broke free on landing Nil Hit a baggage cart behind a UA 777.
