19 Feb. 0645Z Northern France Flt: KL1924 Flt: LX17 KLM 737 rec'd TCAS RA & then took visual avoiding action on Swiss A330. Nil />218 involved French DGCA claim a/c came within 15 to 35 secs of collision over Reims.
19 Feb. 1422L Vero Beach, Fla. Beech 1900 of unknown GLF296 diverted into Vero Beach, Fla. due to a cargo door being blown off. Nil Orlando-Miami (other circumstances unknown).
19 Feb. 0612L Dallas, Texas DC-8 of UPS Reg: NUPA607 Flt UPS607 reported multiple birdstrike on finals. Nil Damage to anti-skid assembly (deptd Chicago, Il. for Dallas).
19 Feb. 0120L Atlanta, Ga. 737-700 of Delta N305DL During loading an item of heavy cargo fell and damaged the floor. Nil Minor damage.
19 Feb. 2316L Bangor, Maine 767 of Royal Air Maroc Flt 201 divtd Bangor after pax made inflight phone-call to family. Nil / 92 o/b Kidnap/suicide bomb-threat by pax during JFK - Casablanca flight.
20 Feb. Phoenix, Ariz. CRJ of America West A/c carried out emerg descent after windscreen cracked at 33,000 ft. Nil Colorado Springs - Las Vegas. Windscreen was splintered.
20 Feb. 1442Z New Delhi KC-10 refueler of USAF A/c re-landed Indira Ghandi A/P with an engine fire 30 mins after departing. Nil / 110 o/b Enroute Andersen AFB after F15 Cope-India 04 Exercise in Gwalior.
20 Feb. 1715L Table Mountain AeroCommander of TASAIR Aircraft crashed in rugged terrain due weather (on positioning flight) 1 fatal /1 o/b Had departed Hobart (Tasmania) 70kms to the south at 5 p.m.
20 Feb. 2145L Ft Lauderdale A/P Learjet 25B of Aztec JetCenter On landing, air ambulance overran by > 1500ft & eventually hit a warehouse. 2 inj / 4 o/b Ft Lauderdale Exec A/P. A/C jumped a 4-lane hwy covered with cars.
21 Feb. 1425L Buenos Aires MD-81 of Austral LV-WPY AU2734 landed Ezeiza A/P after losing a wheel on t/off Jorge Newberry A/P. Nil / 157 o/b Flt was headed North for Iguazu Falls, Subsidiary of AeroLineas Argentinas.
22 Feb. Los Angeles Int'l A/P 747-400 of Air NZ Flt: NZ3 Flt cancelled after suicide impacted top of crew minibus enroute to LAX from hotel. 1 fatal Carrier flew jet home empty of pax to Auckland.
22 Feb. 1700L Cardiff Wales, UK B737-59D of BMIBaby At touchdown upon braking, one brake unit disintegrated, including the torque link on that side. Nil / 85 pax G-BVKC remained stuck on runway overnight, clearing 10am next day. RWY 30, wind 040/20 gusting 31 kts.
22 Feb. 1231L New York JFK 777 of AA Flt: 167 Re-landed 28mins (fuel-dumping) after port-side Trent engine surged on t/off Nil / 163 o/b pax deptd for (207 min ETOPS) flt to Tokyo at 1814L arriving NRT 2238L
23 Feb. 1310L Tokyo Narita 777 of UAL Flt: UA879 Hawaii-Japan flight hit severe turbulence about 20 mins from landing 3 inj / 299 o/b 3 crew members hospitalized.
24 Feb.Romulus, Michigan SAAB 340B of Mesaba Pushed back into another SAAB340 & both a/c were substantially damaged Nil / 32 o/b N364PX & N420XJ (Detroit Metro Wayne County A/P)
24 Feb. Toledo, Ohio Ramp jetway. Mechanic killed working on removed tire. 1 fatal Rim exploded while he was working on it
24 Feb.Kuwait A300 of EgyptAir Flt: 915 Bomb hoax phone-call caused diversion to Kuwait & 5 hour delay. Nil / 106 pax Abu Dhabi to Cairo (possibly been instigated by excess baggage dispute)
24 Feb.Sardinia Cessna 500 of Aermed Crashed on Mount Cresia during medevac flt carrying transplant organs 6 fatal / 6 o/b Rome (Ciampino A/P) for an operation in Cagliari Sardinia (Italia)
24 Feb. 2115L Zacatecas, Mexico A320 of MexicanaAviacion LA-Mexico flight made an emergency landing after a pax refused to exit lav. Nil / 147 o/b Flt 905 (surmised to be drug addiction related).
24 Feb. 1235L Bermuda 767 of AA Flt: 686 Circled the field twice on arrival before landing with faulty gear indicn. Nil / 73 pax Flight originated NY (JFK); defective downlock micro-switch.
25 Feb. a.m. hrs Brussels, Belgium A320-231 of Thomas Cook OO-TCC was left unchecked & rolled back into jetway (which collapsed). Nil APU and horizontal stabilizer badly damaged.
25 Feb. 1630L Wichita, Kan. 757 of AA Flt: 290 LA to NY flight diverted Wichita (Mid -Continent A/P) with smoke in cockpit. Nil / 125 o/b Declared by airline as an "electrical problem."
25 Feb. 0805L Rifle, Colorado SA227-DC of Key Lime Air Flt 375 landed hot 2500ft in & overran wet runway despite braking & reverse. Nil / 3 o/b N882TC eng, prop & wing substantial damaged (departed Denver, Colo.).
25 Feb. Bangor, Maine 777 of UAL Flt: 87 20 inebriated British males removed after London-Chicago flt diverted. Nil / 221 o/b Disruptive pax were not charged and were enrt to Las Vegas for 3 weddings.
25 Feb. 1247Z Edmonton, Alberta 737-210C of Bradley Air Svcs Lost directional control while landing 12 in fog & struck r/way lights & signs. Nil/ 35 o/b TSB investigators on scene. Damaged a/c C-GNWN arrived from Lupin, Nunavut.
26 Feb. 0805L Southern Bosnia Beech 200 of Macedonian Govt. VIP a/c carrying Macedonia President went down enroute from Skopje near the village of Gornja Bitonja 9 fatal / 9 o/b Reg: Z3-BAB. 1980 vintage a/c suspected of encountering heavy icing (50 miles south of Sarajevo).
