Nil / 220 pax on MYT Report reveals ATCO had "forgotten that he'd issued a take-off clearance." Expect more as experience declines.
07 Aug. Viru Viru, Bolivia 767-300ER of Lloyd Aereo Boliviano Structural failure of the upper fuselage following hard landing on arr fm Miami. Unknown NTSB DCA04WA067
30 Aug. Sydney, Australia Fairchild SA-226-T Reg: VH-SSL Aviation Centre aircraft entered full spin whilst pilot was adjusting the heater. Nil / 8 o/b 8 lucky people have a story to spin to their children - unusual to recover.
02 Oct. afternoon Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghan AN-24 of Belarussian Rubistar Slid to halt just short of a minefield after completing a single engine approach in bad weather. 2 crew / 27 pax inj / 29 o/b Damaged beyond repair (nose-gear entered the cockpit). Arr from Kabul.

31 Oct. 1211L Zurich, Switzerland A330 of Emirates Reg: A6-EKU ATC ordered Swiss 1628 hi-speed abort r/way 10 due A330 cleared to land on 14. Nil Skyguide (Swiss ATC) and BFU are investigating. Avro RJ bound Milan.
02 Nov. 2345Z Cedar Rapids, Iowa CRJ700 of Mesa Taxied off into the grass while attempting to avoid an animal on the taxiway. Nil / 42 pax Pax evac'd with nil injuries.
04 Nov. Edinburgh, UK 757-330 of Thomas Cook Reg: D-ABOL Towbar detached under tow and a/c ran off into soft ground bogging the port gear.
Towing crew also now "put out to grass."
04 Nov. night Minneapolis St Paul A320 of NWA Flt: NW546 Birdstrike in left engine 15 mins after take-off and a/c returned Minneapolis. Nil Ship 3274 became ship 3267 for onwards travel to Duluth, Minn.
05 Nov. Hanoi, Vietnam A321 of Vietnam Airlines Emerg landing on foam without nose-gear lowered. Runway closed for several hours. Nil VN830 Bangkok to Hanoi.
05 Nov. 0925L Ahmedabad, India 747-400 of Air India Flt: AI121 Aircraft grounded after ingesting birds on its landing approach at Ahmedabad. Nil / 157 pax Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Heathrow flight detained by engine damage.
05 Nov. morning Raleigh Durham, NC 717 of AirTran Diverted in rapidly with a smoke in the cockpit emergency. Nil Orlando, Fla., to Philadelphia, Pa., flight.
05 Nov. 1300L Frankfurt, Germany A330-300 of US Airways flt 193 Tire exploded on take-off hitting wing and taking a large chunk out of the flap. Nil A/c returned and then later flew next leg to Charlotte NC (with new flap?).
05 Nov. 1710L Kota Kinabulu Malaysia 737-300 of AirAsia Flt : AK104 9M-AAP skidded off runway 20 in a wet weather arrival and pax were evac'd. 4 inj / 113 o/b BKI temporarily closed with 5 flights diverted elsewhere. 2 to hospital.
06 Nov. morning Abidjan Cote d'Ivoire Transall C-160 of French military A/c used for joint civ/mil ops had a wing destroyed by Cote d'Ivoire govt forces. Nil French AF then destroyed all Cote d'Ivoire AF a/c in retaliatory strikes.
07 Nov. Atlanta, Ga. 767 of Delta DL166 tailstrike on landing Atlanta. Nil 0355 Local time. Damage unknown.
07 Nov. evening Nuernberg, Germany Learjet 55 Reg: D-CATL Exited runway too fast and ended up bogged deeply in the grass infield.
Runway closed until jet cleared.
07 Nov. 11am/12am Tullamarine Victoria 2 x 737 of Qantas Two Brisbane to Melbourne flights, an hour apart, were struck by lightning. Nil Minor entry & exit point damage.
07 Nov. 1840L Orlando, Florida 737 of ATA Flt 533 Five F/A's injured when aircraft hit clear air turbulence in cruise from San Juan. 5 crew inj / 216 o/b 5 F/A injured (neck, back & legs) and hospitalized at Florida Hospital East.
08 Nov. 0100Z Sharjah, UAE 747-230F cargo of Air Atlanta TF-ARR overran r/way into desert after blowing both n/wheel tires on take-off.
Write-off due extensive damage. Ex Lufthansa D-ABZF on LH charter.
08 Nov. Tacloban Leyte Philippines DC-9 of Cebu Pacific Awys Pax panicked when the tail-cone fell off onto the runway on landing (after an unstable approach).
Reportedly a tailstrike arrival. Nil injuries out of the 68 persons onboard.
09 Nov. 1130Z Bangkok, Thailand A300 of Thai Airways Rejected take-off with what appeared to be an engine #1 fire (much smoke). Nil Subsequent third party anonymous radio call to "evacuate" not acted upon.
09 Nov. 1430L Matei A/P, Fiji EMB110 of Air Fiji Overran by 54m on landing and collided with the fence along the main road. Nil / 12 +2 A/c substantially damaged. Runway surface condition blamed initially.
10 Nov. 0017L LAX Intl A/P, Calif. 747-400 of Cathay Pacific Flt: 883 #4 engine failed during latter part of take-off roll - with a pyrotechnics display Nil / 330 o/b Hong Kong bound flight dumped fuel over water and re-landed.
10 Nov. Newark, NY KLM Flt: 668 Bomb-scares (to this 777 at 1830L) and... Nil Alitalia 606 Milan-Newark divtd JFK.
10 Nov. Brussels 737 of Air Polonia Emergency landing Brussels after bomb threat. Nil / 157 pax Warsaw Poland to Charleroi Belgium.
11 Nov. 1000Z Morecambe Bay UK HS125 of RAF VIP Sqdn. VIP a/c carrying the Princess Royal had an airprox with an RAF fighter a/c. Nil Eurofighter Typhoon (may have had a BAe pilot). Princess enrt to Scotland.
