From the Field: Bristow Contracts For More Simulators

Bristow Group, adding to its investment in the global training division it expanded with the purchase earlier this year of Helicopter Adventures, Inc., is purchasing full-flight, state-of-the-art flight simulators for the Eurocopter EC225 and Sikorsky Aircraft S-92.

Both simulators will be located in Aberdeen, Scotland.

In 2005, Bristow added the EC225 into its fleet operating in the North Sea, replacing the Eurocopter AS332 Super Puma. The company has six EC225s operating there and is in the process of adding six new S-92s to that fleet. The simulators will feature exact cockpit replicas, high-level mapping of airports, coastlines and offshore fields and the ability to recreate flight scenarios, operating conditions, and landing approaches.
