Seized Money Funds New Hangar

Drug money has funded a new aircraft hangar in Kansas. Money seized from drug dealers funded the $1.5 million hangar at Phillip Billard Municipal Airport in Topeka, Kan. There is space in the hangar for five helicopters including a $2.5 million helicopter purchased last year by the state, three single-engine aircraft and twin-engine Beechcraft the governor uses for travel.  Topeka police say they have seized more than $2 million under laws that allow cash to be seized if tied to illegal drug trafficking.
