PNG Plane Crashes, 28 May Be Dead
A Bombardier Dash 8 twin-engine turboprop crashed on Thursday in Papua New Guinea (PNG), reportedly killing 28 of the 32 people on board. The two pilots are believed to have survived the crash.
The flight departed from Lae, the country's largest city, en route to Madang when the aircraft crashed as a result of flying through a rough rain storm just outside Madang. An investigation is being conducted to determine a probable cause.
